The votes are in and model No2 has been selected as the sculpture for Nottingham University Health and Humanities department. I will start sculpting the piece early next year 2010, with the current plan for installation being June/July 2010.

It will definitely need to be pinned. Not sure exactly what the plinth will be made of yet.
Also am attracted to your design. Perhaps the difference in height of the two ends should be slightly greater. How will the mottling be done? I’d prefer the choice of stone that would enable one the ends to have a sizeable patch of weathered stone.
The rendering of the object is to give it a stone effect and not a literal image of the finished piece. I intend to use either carrara or bardiglio marble for the sculpture.
